Whilst walking in a local woodland in Autumn, I was struck by the bright sunlight streaming through a break in the canopy.

It flowed over the ground like a shimmering stream, gaining momentum as it raced downstream. I tried to capture this light effect with the wool, using subtle shades and textures. The foreground foliage has a three dimensional quality as it cascades out of the mount.
