Product Description
A wasps nest appeared on the outside of my house last summer. Waiting for them to die off and leave, with help I removed the nest carefully and kept the intricate structure. Taking it out this year to sketch the wonderful home, I subsequently made this piece, a playful, free experimental composition tracing the pathways the wasps may have taken when laying their larvae in their tiny hexagonal tombs. Framed it measures 35cm x 35cm, the actual felted area is 25cm x 25cm.
