Pool reflection Satsanga is an abstract piece informed by my stay at the yoga retreat in Goa. I spent many a day lying by the pool looking up at the canopy of trees, this is my response to this experience, a small needle felted scene. I love the pale pink of the wool denoting the early evening sky contrasting with the dark greens of the palm leaves. The trees reflection in the pool was so dramatic that I felt the need to experiment and try to give this impression in a small needle felted picture. The colour of the pool took a darker hue with the added tones of the reflected palm leaves, dramatic and linear shapes cut through the water. It is a pretty little reminder of looking upwards to the skyline with the leaves in my view and the reflection it made on the pool water on a warm evening in Goa. Pool reflection Satsanga is a small needle felted picture measuring 25cm x 25cm, the actual felted area is 12cm x 12cm.
